This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Diwali Special Deals (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you use this website, why we collect it, how we keep it safe, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who visits the site, reads the blog, or places an order.
The website is operated by Abhimanyu Rampersaud, 15-2-73/2 Gowliguda Chaman, Hyderabad, Telangana 500012, India.
1. What we collect
When you place an order
- Name, delivery address and pincode
- Mobile phone number (needed by the courier to deliver a cash on delivery parcel)
- Email address, if you give one
- The products you ordered and the order value
- Any notes you add, such as a gift message
- For refunds: bank account or UPI details you send us, used only to process that refund
When you contact us
- Your name, email or phone number and the content of your message, including any photos you send for a damage claim.
When you browse
- Technical information sent by your browser: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent and the site you came from. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in Section 5 and in our Cookie Policy.
We do not collect payment card details because we do not accept online payment. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you are under 18, please order through a parent or guardian.

We do not send marketing emails or SMS unless you have specifically opted in, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP or emailing us.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with parties needed to run the store:
- Courier partners receive your name, address, pincode, phone number and the COD amount so they can deliver and collect payment.
- Hosting and email providers store the website and our mailbox.
- Google (AdSense) receives cookie and usage data as described in Section 5. Google does not receive your name, address or order details from us.
- Government authorities if we are required to by law or a court order.
We never sell, rent or trade your personal data.
4. How long we keep it
- Order records: 8 years, to meet Indian tax and accounting requirements.
- Contact messages: up to 2 years after the last exchange.
- Refund bank or UPI details: deleted within 30 days after the refund is complete.
- Cookie data: retained according to the periods set in Section 5 and the Cookie Policy.
5. Cookies and Google AdSense
Cookies in general
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. We use cookies to keep items in your cart, remember your cookie choices and show advertising (non-personalised unless you accept). Our Cookie Policy lists each cookie and how long it lasts. You can accept or reject personalised advertising in the banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice later with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of every page.
Google AdSense and third-party advertising vendors
We display advertisements served by Google AdSense to support the free guides and articles on this site.

We have no access to or control over the cookies used by third-party advertisers.
6. Your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) gives you the following rights in respect of the personal data we hold about you:
- Right to access: ask for a summary of the personal data we process about you, the purposes, and the parties we have shared it with.
- Right to correction and erasure: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data, update it, or erase data that is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless the law requires us to keep it (for example, invoice records).
- Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent (cookies, marketing), you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing done before withdrawal.
- Right to grievance redressal: raise a complaint with us about how your data is handled and receive a response within the time stated below.
- Right to nominate: nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated.
You also have a duty under the Act not to impersonate another person or provide false information when exercising these rights.
How to exercise your rights: email diwalideals23232@gmail.com with the subject “DPDP request”, or write to the postal address above. We will verify your identity (usually by confirming the phone number or email on the order) and respond within 15 days. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will tell you why.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is constituted and operational under the Act. You may also contact our Grievance Officer, whose details are on the Grievance Officer page.
7. Visitors from outside India
We ship only within India, but the website can be read from anywhere. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with its own data protection law, you may have rights similar to those listed above (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection). Contact us at the email above to exercise them. Data is stored in India and in the data centres of our hosting and email providers.
8. How we protect your data
- The site is served over HTTPS.
- Order data is stored in a password-protected store admin panel with two-factor authentication for staff.
- Courier partners receive only what they need to deliver the parcel.
- Refund bank details are deleted after use.
- We do not store any card or online payment data because we do not accept online payment.
No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will inform you and the relevant authority as required by law.
9. Links to other websites
Blog posts may link to other websites, such as the sources for a recipe or a government advisory. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Read their policies before sharing data with them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Significant changes will be announced with a notice on the home page for at least 30 days.
