Buying guide: Men's Wear

Men's Wear covers both sides of the festive wardrobe: the traditional pieces for the puja and the family dinner, and the casual and winter pieces for everything else. Around 46 products sit here, and most come as complete sets or combos so you do not have to match separates.

For the puja and the function

Solid kurta pajama sets in slim and regular fits are the Diwali evening standard, and an embroidered kurta pajama is enough for a card party. For a sangeet or reception there is an embroidered indo-western suit with thread work on the chest, collar and sleeves, a satin lining and built-up shoulders. Wear it with plain loafers or embroidered slip-on shoes and a pocket square. Order it at least ten days ahead so there is time to try it on.

Shirts and tees

Full-sleeve linen and cotton shirts, an embroidered full-sleeve shirt, a red and white check overshirt with a white tee, oversized tie-dye and graphic tees, and a knit sweatshirt with a built-in collar that reads as shirt-and-sweater in one piece. The linen shirt is the one for the daytime visit; the embroidered shirt goes with black jeans for an evening out.

Jeans, pants and combos

Wide-leg jeans in light blue and washed black, cargo pants with graphics, straight trousers, and ready-made combos such as a shirt with wide-leg jeans, a full-sleeve shirt with straight trousers, a graphic tee with striped track pants, and a leather-look jacket with jeans and a tee. Combos are the easy gift: one box, one complete outfit.

Winter

A hooded puffer jacket, a softshell tracksuit with a hooded jacket and joggers, a colour-block fleece tracksuit, a varsity bomber with brown sleeves, an embroidered fleece sweatshirt with a half zip, and cotton-blend hoodies. The puffer and the softshell set are for real cold and hill trips; the fleece tracksuit is what most of north India lives in from December to February.

Sizes

• All garments come in S to XXL.
• Shirts and kurtas are sized by chest. Measure a shirt that fits you well across the chest and check the product description for the fit before choosing.
• Oversized tees and the check overshirt are meant to be roomy. Take your usual size, not the next one up.
• Check the product description for the waist of jeans. Wide-leg cuts sit at the natural waist.
• Tracksuit joggers have elastic waists with drawstrings, so they are forgiving across one size.

Delivery and returns

Every order ships free to any serviceable pincode in India and is paid in cash at the door, with nothing added for delivery or cash on delivery. Dispatch from Hyderabad is within one working day, and most of India receives the parcel in five to seven days. If the size is wrong, return the unused garment with its tags within seven days of delivery. You pay the return courier and we refund the product price by UPI or bank transfer. Ordering for a brother in another city? Enter his address and phone number, and tell him the amount to keep ready.

Care

Kurtas and cotton shirts machine wash cold. Turn embroidered pieces inside out and iron on the reverse. The indo-western suit and the leather-look jacket are wipe or dry clean only. Fleece and softshell wash cold and hang dry.
