Who we are
Diwali Special Deals is a small, independent online store based in Gowliguda, Hyderabad. The store is owned and run by Abhimanyu Rampersaud from 15-2-73/2 Gowliguda Chaman, Hyderabad, Telangana 500012. Orders are packed there and handed to the courier from the same address.
We are new as an online shop. We do not claim a long heritage, celebrity customers or awards. What we offer is simple: a carefully chosen range of Diwali products, honest descriptions, fair prices and a person you can actually reach if something goes wrong.
What we sell
The range is built around what a household needs between Dhanteras and Bhai Dooj:
- Diyas and lights – clay diyas, brass lamps, tealights and LED string lights.
- Home decor – torans, wooden rangoli sets, lanterns and door hangings.
- Puja essentials – complete Lakshmi puja kits, thali sets, wicks, agarbatti and dhoop.
- Gift hampers – ready-made combinations of the above for family, neighbours and office colleagues.
Every product page states the material, size and count. If we do not know something about a product, we say so rather than guess.
How we choose products
Every item is checked before it is packed. We set aside anything with cracks, uneven paint, loose wiring or damaged packaging, and it does not go out.
We prefer products that are reusable: brass over disposable plastic, cotton wicks over synthetic, wooden rangoli stencils over single-use stickers. Where a product is not reusable, such as a clay diya, we say so and suggest how to dispose of it responsibly.
Why cash on delivery only
Many of our customers are ordering for parents, grandparents or relatives in another city. Cash on delivery means the person receiving the parcel can inspect it before paying, and nobody has to share card details online. It also keeps our checkout short: name, address, pincode, phone, done.
The trade-off is that we ask you to be reachable on the phone number you give us, and to keep the exact cash ready. Our FAQ explains what happens if a delivery attempt fails.
Why free shipping everywhere
We would rather build delivery into a fair product price than add a charge at the last step of checkout. Shipping is free to every serviceable pincode in India, with no minimum order value.
Our promises
- Orders are dispatched within one working day of confirmation.
- Delivery takes 2 to 3 days within Telangana and 5 to 7 days for most of India. Remote areas, including the North-East and the islands, can take 8 to 12 days. The Shipping & Delivery Policy has the full table.
