What a cookie is

It lets the site remember things between pages, such as what is in your cart, or recognise your browser on a later visit. How we ask for consent
On your first visit a banner offers two buttons: Accept and Reject. Essential cookies are always on because the shop cannot work without them. Your choice is stored in a cookie so we do not ask on every page. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of every page.
Google AdSense ads can load on your first visit, before you choose. Until you click Accept, we ask Google for non-personalised ads only. These are chosen from the page you are reading and your general location (city or region), not from your browsing history. Google may still use cookies or similar storage for non-personalised ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, to count ads for reporting, and to prevent fraud and abuse. If you click Accept, Google may show personalised ads based on your visits to this and other sites. If you click Reject, or later withdraw consent, you keep getting non-personalised ads only. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see Google’s own consent message, which controls ads for them.

Google may set additional cookies as its systems change. The names above are the ones we know of at the time of writing.
How to control cookies
- Our banner: click “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your choice.
- Personalised ads from Google: opt out at Google Ads Settings. This applies across all sites that use Google advertising, not just ours.
- Other advertising vendors: opt out through www.aboutads.info/choices.
- Your browser: every browser lets you delete cookies and block new ones. Blocking essential cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed industry standard for responding to it, so the site relies on the banner choice instead.
