Sizes by age band, 2-3Y to 10-12Y, and why to take the larger band
Every kids’ garment on our site is sold by age band, chosen from a dropdown on the product page: 2-3 Years, 4-5 Years, 6-7 Years, 8-9 Years and 10-12 Years. Age bands are a rough guide, because a tall six-year-old and a small eight-year-old can wear the same size. In practice:
- If the child is between two bands, take the larger one. A little length at the sleeve and hem is easy to live with and gets grown into by the next festival.
- If the child is tall for their year, take the next band up, even if they are slim. Elasticated waists take care of the width.
- For a shirt worn open over a tee, the larger band looks better anyway.
- Check the product description for any fit notes before you order, and check the photos for how loose the cut is.
If you order for a niece or nephew you have not seen for a year, ask their parent for their current height rather than guessing from age. Children grow more in a year than any of us remember.
Matching the family without matching exactly: colour, not print
Family photos look better when everyone shares a colour rather than the same print. If the father is in black, the boy’s white shirt and black trousers set already fits; if the family is in blues, the girls’ set and the graphic top and cargo set share that tone. Diyas, sparklers and children: what the outfit should let them do
This part matters most. Children want to light diyas and hold sparklers, and they are going to be near flames whatever they wear. No outfit changes that, so an adult stays with them the whole time. What the outfit can do is stay out of the way.
- Sleeves that end at the wrist or the elbow are easier to keep clear of a lamp than wide, flowing ones. All four sets above have plain sleeves.
- Nothing should trail. Dupattas, long scarves and loose ties get caught on diya plates and on the toran at the door.
- The child should be able to run in it. If the trousers need holding up, they will be held up with the hand that should be holding the sparkler away from the body.
- Tie back long hair before the diyas are lit, whatever the outfit.
Keep the sparklers for the terrace or the road, away from the balcony where the diyas are, and keep a bucket of water there. That is a household habit, not something any garment can replace.

Ordering is the same as for everything on the site. Choose the age band from the dropdown, enter the delivery address and a phone number that will be answered, and place the order. Nothing is paid online. The courier calls before delivery and you pay the price shown on the product page, in cash, at the door. Shipping is free to every serviceable pincode in India, and there is no cash on delivery fee.
Orders are packed in Hyderabad and handed to the courier within one working day, Monday to Saturday. Delivery after that is usually two to three days within Telangana, three to four to the other southern metros, five to seven for the rest of India and eight to twelve for remote and hill areas. Diwali 2026 is Sunday 8 November, so order by 29 October. If the size does not work, email us within seven days of delivery with your order number, send the unused set back in its original packaging by any courier or India Post, and keep the tracking number. You pay the return courier. Once the set reaches us and passes inspection, we refund the product price by UPI or bank transfer within seven working days, and you place a fresh order in the right band.
